Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop backend components in AEM using Sling, OSGi, and JCR
- Build and customize AEM components, templates, and workflows
- Integrate AEM with external systems via REST APIs
- Configure and optimize AEM Dispatcher for caching and performance
- Troubleshoot performance issues and ensure application stability
- Participate in code reviews and enforce coding best practices
- Collaborate with frontend developers, QA, and architects
- Maintain technical documentation and deployment processes
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in AEM backend development
- Strong proficiency in Java/J2EE programming
- Practical experience with Sling, OSGi, and JCR
- Experience with AEM Dispatcher and caching strategies
- Good understanding of AEM architecture and content lifecycle
- Exposure to version control tools like Git
- Familiarity with CI/CD and Agile environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AEM 6.x or AEM as a Cloud Service
- Knowledge of HTL (Sightly) and frontend collaboration
- Understanding of security best practices in AEM
- Exposure to performance tuning and scalability improvements
