About the Role
We are seeking an Executive Advisor to provide strategic guidance and consulting expertise to our clients in the life insurance, living benefits, and reinsurance sector. The Advisor will work closely with internal teams and client executives to shape business and technology strategies, participate in client meetings, and support solution and strategy design initiatives.
This is a high-impact role suited for a seasoned professional who has successfully advised insurance carriers at the C-suite level and can operate as a trusted sounding board on industry trends, regulatory matters, and technology modernization.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic advisor to internal stakeholders and client executives in the life insurance and reinsurance space.
- Participate in executive-level meetings to provide insights on industry trends, regulatory developments, and solution strategies.
- Guide solution design and strategy development, including business and technology modernization initiatives.
- Act as a trusted partner to clients, helping them navigate challenges in product innovation, underwriting, claims, and digital transformation.
- Leverage professional network and experience to strengthen client relationships.
Qualifications
- 20+ years of experience in the life insurance, living benefits, or reinsurance industry.
- Prior leadership experience in a Big 4 consulting firm (EY, Deloitte, PwC, KPMG) or boutique insurance consulting practice is strongly preferred.
- Deep expertise in:
- Life insurance product strategy, underwriting, claims, actuarial, and policy administration.
- Reinsurance, risk management, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Digital transformation, data and analytics, and cloud adoption within insurance.
- Strong executive presence with proven experience advising CIOs, CTOs, and business SVPs.
- Established relationships or familiarity with senior leadership at leading reinsurance carriers is highly advantageous.
