About the Team and the Role
Join the Amazon IN Ads team as a key operational partner to the Sales team. You will deliver accurate, scalable reporting, dash-boarding, and automation solutions while providing day-to-day support triaging requests, resolving issues with minimal back-and-forth, and responding to incidents within defined SLAs. The role demands a first time-right mindset: translating sales team needs into reliable data outputs, automated workflows, and stable operations with minimum iterations. Core skills include hands-on SQL querying, Excel VBA development, dash-boarding, and Salesforce operational reporting, with a sharp focus on eliminating manual toil, ensuring data accuracy at scale, and maintaining operational continuity.
Key job responsibilities
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day operational support, triage incoming requests, and respond to incidents within defined SLAs.
- Act as the first point of contact for data issues ensuring timely resolution and stakeholder communication.
- Maintain and track incident logs, escalate where needed, and drive follow-through to closure.
- Monitor operational health of reports, dashboards, and automated workflows to proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact stakeholders.
A day in the life
- Automate repetitive workflows and reporting pipelines using Excel VBA macros, SQL stored procedures, and Salesforce Flows.
- Troubleshoot production data/reporting/dashboard issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable fixes to reduce recurring incidents and SLA breaches.
- Support operational processes including data uploads, bulk updates, and scheduled report distribution while monitoring system health.
Process Improvement
- Identify automation opportunities by analyzing existing manual workflows, recurring incidents, and SLA patterns to propose automated workflows.
- Document all dashboards, reports, queries, macros, and workflows to ensure knowledge continuity and team scalability.

Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years of technical work experience, or Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, computer science, operations research, business analytics, information systems or equivalent
- Knowledge of writing and optimizing SQL queries in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or a CPA and experience in Excel (macros, index, conditional list, arrays, pivots, lookups)
- Experience with reporting and Data Visualization tools such as Quick Sight / Tableau / Power BI or other BI packages
- Salesforce familiarity: working knowledge of Salesforce objects, reports, dashboards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with business intelligence (BI) tools such as Tableau, Quicksight, Power BI and CRM Salesforce
- Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
