Advanced Systems Engr - Engineering NGA
The Next Generation Avionics (NGA) Engineering organization is looking for a Systems Engineer to join our product development group located in Bangalore, India.
In this role, primary responsibility will be to develop advanced features and functionality for Honeywell's latest cockpit offering - ANTHEM. The engineer must have good knowledge of engineering fundamentals to complete defined project subtasks.
Responsibilities
Job Expectations:
- Understanding and working experience on Avionics Systemsoftware and Certification.
- Experience in the development of Flight Management System is required.
- Analysis of customer and operational requirements to define systems architecture, capture requirements, perform integration/systems/functional testing, and conduct design reviews.
- Ability to develop, validate and verify system level requirements for flight deck avionic programs.
- Trouble shoot current systems interfaces and performance problems.
- Lead or assist in coordinating engineering review activities associated with SRR, PDR and CDR milestones.
- Able to work with a diverse group of team members who could be geographically distributed.
- Good Understanding of Avionics architecture (HW and Systems).
- Experience with Agile development processes.
- Knowledge of AGILE tools. IBM Rational DOORS NG Requirements Management tool, Atlassian JIRA Change management tool.
- Keep management apprised of program status and roadblocks.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Master's degree in Avionics, Electrical, Electronic or Computer Engineering
- 7+ years of combined system/software/hardware product engineering development experience as a technical solution provider and functional discipline leader.
Additional Qualifications
- Experience with functional decomposition desired.
- Experience working with customers on Systems requirements required
- ARP4754 process knowledge strongly preferred.
- Knowledge about EPIC/APEX platform and applications desired.
- Experience on large, complicated programs preferred.
- 3+ years Systems Safety Analysis experience preferred.
- Academic background in Systems Engineering preferred.
- Excellent Communication skills.
- Six Sigma Greenbelt certification desired
- Avionics background, Knowledge, and experience on ARP4754A, Aero Process is required
- Positive, can-do attitude.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of team both locally and globally.
