Job Description

The Customer Success Services (CSS) is a unit within the Oracle's Customer Service Organization that establishes long-term relationships with many of Oracle's customers through annuity-based service contracts and project based one-time services. CSS services team sells from a broad IT-services portfolio both in fixed price and T&M basis. CSS services are typically requested by large Oracle customers that require the utmost attention to real mission critical applications and processes. CSS covers the majority of large-scale Oracle customers.

CSS is industry-leading expertise with the highest customer satisfaction to support organization's business every step of the way.

  • Minimum 7+ years experience in Linux/Solaris Server administration
  • Experience in Oracle Engineered system
  • Experience in Oracle storage
  • Working knowledge on Engineered system like Exadata / Supercluster engineered system
  • Experience in UNIX Environment -Linux and Solaris 11
  • Expertise in installation, configuration and upgradation, patching, administration and storage implementation
  • Ability to articulate standard methodologies for during implementation
  • Experience in Oracle VM Manager LDOM Administration
  • Expertise in installation configuration, add knowledge of best practices and ability to apply best practices in implementation as and when required
  • Expertise in networking principles like ssh/tcp/udp
  • Expertise to be able to identify performance bottlenecks at OS level
  • Working knowledge of OS clustering, partitioning, virtualization and storage administration, integration with operating systems
  • Demonstrated expertise in UNIX - Linux and Solaris.
  • Individual contributor role able to manage his work independently.
  • Ambitious individual who can work under their own direction towards agreed targets/goals and with creative approach to work
  • Intuitive individual with an ability to manage change and proven time management
  • Proven interpersonal skills while contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Up-to-date technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications
  • Working experience in OVM Migration projects
  • Shell scripting knowledge preferred
