Advanced PL/SQL with Performance Tuning 6-8 Yrs

Job Description: Software Dev Advisor - Oracle PL SQL
Role: Analyzes business requirements/processes and system integration considerations to determine appropriate technology solutions for internal and external customers. Designs, evaluates, codes, configures, tests and documents applications based on system and user requirements
. Responsible for preparing design documentation.
. Designs, codes, tests, debug and documents software according to Dell's systems standards, policies and, procedures, security and compliance requirements.
. Analyzes business needs and creates, defines software solutions including custom developed and off the shelf software.
. Evaluates and recommends software and hardware solutions to meet user needs.
. Resolves customer issues with software solutions and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
. Interacts with business users, I/T, vendors and customers to define current and future application requirements.
. Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge of application programming and analysis. Strong Object oriented programming skills
. Strong software engineering skills, thorough understanding of software development lifecycle and methodologies
. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Should be able to work in global development environment
. Self-starter, proactive, good team player, should possess exceptional commitment towards success of the team, and should have excellent crisis management skills.

Skill set:
. Knows Oracle 11g/Oracle 12c architecture
. Experience in Database design (focused around- normalization, Snapshot usage, Index optimization, explain plan, database interactions, System & inbuilt packages)
. Must have good experience at SQL (e.g. joins, functions, sub queries, Data Manipulation etc).
. Expert in PL/SQL development for Oracle high demand OLTP/reporting applications (preferably in 11g or above)
. Significant experience with Oracle PL/SQL packages (DBMS_., UTL_.)
. Must have thorough understanding, knowledge, exposure to advanced SQL and PL/SQL (collections, Native Dynamic SQL etc).
. Extensive experience with Data Transfers/Sharing using Flat Files, DB Links, Web Services
. Experience with large databases with high transaction volume in a fast-paced, production environment
. Expert in troubleshooting, optimizing, and performance tuning PL/SQL queries/procedures
. Experience at Oracle performance tuning - Should be able to analyze Execution Plans, TKPROF and AWR reports.
. Data Modeling
. Experience implementing Materialized views for reporting applications.
. Strong Data Analysis skills

Experience: 4 to 6 Years of IT experience in Oracle Development. Knowledge of Dot Net Technologies is a plus.
