At Honeywell UOP we are rapidly expanding our Digital Services business via software/connected offerings that connect to global customers and provide real-time and/or offline insights (leveraging Data Analytics, AI/ML) and guide our customers to improve their operations and unlock significant value.

There are immediate openings for a Technical Specialist - Digital Services Execution in the UOP Lifecycle Solutions and Technologies (LST) business. This role shall be responsible to ensure quality , consistency and standardization in digital project execution in organized and scalable manner to aid the steep growth of digital offerings and tools. The Technical specialist Digital Services Execution will act as subject matter expert on given UOP technology/ies. The Technical Specialist will work closely with UOP R&D and Digital Services engineering teams and provide expertise in the technical and implementation aspects for Refining /Petrochemical technologies. The Technical Specialist will provide mentoring and motivation to enhance the skills of less experienced engineers.

The Technical Specialist role is part of UOP Digital Services Execution team and reports to Director- Digital Services Execution.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and develop additional technology artefacts (templates, tools, guides, checklists etc..) after handover from development.
  • Support execution teams on day-to-day basis for given technology. Take final decision on any technical issues during execution.
  • Review the execution team deliverables and ensure quality before release to customer.
  • Provide post deployment support on technology related issues.
  • Participation in customer meeting as SME.
  • Coordinate with OM/development to create PM/PTA/digital tools development stories and champion solutions to customer.
  • Ensure consistency and standardization of design.
  • Train/mentor new engineers.

Qualifications

  • YOU MUST HAVE Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering 8+ years in Operations/ Services/Design engineering in Refining/Petrochemical preferably on UOP technologies

Familiarity with UOP work processes as well as Refining, Petrochemicals, Sustainable or Gas Processing technologies

Exposure to Software as a Service model

Strong technical leadership

Exposure to various UOP technologies

Working knowledge of UOP digital services

Unisim experience

Demonstrated problem-solving skills

Ability to interact at all levels of the organization, and with other Honeywell businesses Ability to communicate in a clear and succinct manner

Demonstrated customer focus – evaluating decisions through the eyes of the customer, building strong customer relationships, and creating processes with customer viewpoint.
