Part of the New Product Development team, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and supply chain, to complete purchased parts qualification, mitigate risks tied with our suppliers, drive improvements, and ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards to ensure the flawless introduction of products into the market.

You will be in our Datacom and Specialty Solutions (DSS) division, which designs and manufactures an extensive product line serving customers in telecommunications, datacom, (hyperscale) data center, cloud, and storage applications.
What You Will Do
- Partner with core team members to complete project milestones on schedule, including Phase 5 and Phase 6 deliverables.
- Coordinate with China ASQs, design centers, and manufacturing centers to qualify purchased parts and child components.
- Escalate roadblocks or noncompliance issues promptly and drive the actions needed to resolve them.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC.
- Communicate effectively in English and collaborate confidently with global teams.
- Develop qualification plans for new and modified components, track supplier PPAP documents on time, and provide regular updates to AQP engineers and managers across sites.
- Initiate PPAP requests for all child parts, then review and approve supplier PPAP documents through the Molex PPAP Manager tool in line with the project timeline.
- Keep all projects up to date in Jira, ensure milestones and deadlines are met, and complete PPAP reviews and approvals within the required due dates.
- Build and maintain strong knowledge of product lines such as cable assemblies, cages, and connectors, and keep the internal knowledge database up to date.
- Work directly with suppliers to drive timely completion of FAI, capability studies, and PPAP submissions.
- Follow up with the product team for FAI and capability study dispositions and upload approved reports to Team Center.
- Based on input from AQP, PDE, and MIE, communicate tooling corrections or improvements to suppliers, obtain the required ECD, keep the project team informed, and follow up against committed timelines.
- When tooling corrections may cause delays or line-down risk, coordinate with Sourcing, PJM, and the plant to ensure sufficient stock is available before tooling is taken down for repair or improvement.
- Create internal deviations in SAP when necessary to support production material availability before FAI completion, based on agreement with PDE and the cross-functional team.
- Facilitate the design and procurement of any gages or fixtures needed for incoming inspection.
- Resolve measurement issues among suppliers, the plant, and measurement labs.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve the qualification process and optimize ASQ operations.
- Practice the Koch PBM philosophy, guiding principles, and ISO requirements by following established policies and procedures.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- 5 - 8 years experience in Quality Engineering or related engineering field
- BS or master's degree in mechanical/industrial engineering or another related field
- Excellent communication is a must, Listening skills and a quick learner
- Strong knowledge of APQP and PPAP deliverables.
- Fair idea on PMS (product design and development – mass production)
- Strong organizational skill to anticipate, plan, organize and self-monitor workload
- Good interpersonal skills for effective leadership and team facilitation
- Solid Knowledge & understanding of Engineering drawings, metrology, and GD&T
- 2+ years of knowledge of statistics - experience using Minitab or other software
- 2+ years using MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point)
- Able to travel (domestic and international) 5% - 10%
What Will Put You Ahead
- Knowledge in Advance Quality Planning Tools like DFMEA, PFMEA, PFD, CP, training on PPAP.
- years experience in Quality engineering in a new-product introduction environment as an SQE
- Working knowledge of electronic assembly, testing, molding, stamping, plating, and assembly processes Quality System (ISO 9001 or TS 16949) and Supplier Auditing experience, Gage and Fixture design
- Knowing Chinese, Jira, supplier PPAP managing portals would be an added advantage
