We are hiring Admission Counselor for Chandigarh University.
Experienced candidates are preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Counseling & Guidance:
- Assist prospective students and their parents in understanding the admission process.
- Provide detailed information about available courses, programs, eligibility criteria, and fee structures.
- Guide students in selecting the most suitable courses based on their interests and academic background.
Handling Inquiries:
- Manage inbound calls and emails, responding to inquiries about admission, programs, and university facilities.
- Address queries regarding the university's infrastructure, faculty, placement opportunities, etc.
Data Entry & Documentation:
- Maintain and update records of student inquiries, applications, and follow-ups.
- Enter and update student data in the system as part of the admission process.
Follow-Up Calls:
- Conduct follow-up calls to potential candidates who have shown interest in applying, providing them with additional information as needed.
- Keep track of applicants progress and assist them in completing necessary documentation for admissions.
Lead Generation:
- Generate leads through outbound calling, and promotional activities.
- Follow up on leads, ensuring a higher conversion rate from inquiries to enrollments.
Coordination:
Collaborate with other departments, such as the academic department and the admissions office, to ensure smooth communication and process flow.
Assist in organizing admission-related events like counseling sessions, webinars, and seminars.
Feedback & Reporting:
- Collect feedback from students and parents regarding the admission process and provide insights for improvement.
- Report on key performance metrics such as conversion rates, call outcomes, and student feedback to senior management.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Educational Qualification: A bachelor's degree in any discipline (preferably in education, business, or a related field).
- Experience: Prior experience in tele-counseling, sales, or customer service is preferred but not mandatory.
Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple calls and inquiries efficiently.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Basic knowledge of computers and CRM software (Customer Relationship Management).
Personal Attributes:
- Empathy: Ability to understand the needs and concerns of prospective students and guide them accordingly.
- Goal-Oriented: Ability to meet targets in terms of lead generation, follow-up, and conversion rates.
- Patience: As tele-counseling often involves answering repetitive questions and handling various concerns, patience is a key quality.
Salary - 25,000 to 32,500 + incentives + free transport facility
