Job Summary:
The Admission Counsellor / Telecaller is responsible for handling student inquiries, guiding prospective students about courses and admission procedures, and converting leads into admissions through effective communication. The role involves outbound calling, counselling, follow-ups, and maintaining accurate records of interactions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead Management & Calling
- Make outbound calls to prospective students and respond to inbound inquiries.
- Explain courses, eligibility, fees, and career prospects in a clear and engaging manner.
- Follow up with leads through calls, messages, and emails to ensure maximum conversion.
2. Counselling & Guidance
- Understand students educational background, interests, and goals to recommend suitable programs.
- Provide accurate information about admission processes, scholarships, and deadlines.
- Address queries patiently and offer personalized solutions.
3. Admission Support
- Assist students in completing applications and documentation.
- Coordinate with internal departments for smooth admission processing.
- Maintain updated knowledge of courses, curriculum, and institutional policies.
4. Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain records of calls, inquiries, and conversions in CRM or Excel.
- Prepare daily/weekly reports on leads, follow-ups, and admissions.
- Meet targets for call volume, follow-ups, and admissions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong persuasion, negotiation, and follow-up ability.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office / CRM tools.
- Ability to work in a target-driven environment.
- Fluency in English and regional languages (as needed).
- Prior experience in counselling, telecalling, sales is an advantage.
