About the University and the Role

The University of Aberdeen will open its Mumbai campus in Powai in September 2026. At launch, it will offer six programmes: four-year undergraduate degrees in Computing, Data Science, Economics, and Business Management, along with one-year master's degrees in Artificial Intelligence and Business Administration.
The Admissions Coordinator will support end‑to‑end admissions operations, including enquiry handling, application processing, documentation, communications, and coordination with internal stakeholders. This role ensures a smooth, efficient, and student‑friendly admissions experience while maintaining accuracy, compliance, and service standards.
Key Responsibilities
Enquiry Management & Communication
- Handle enquiries from prospective students and parents via email, phone, walk-ins, and online channels.
- Provide accurate programme information, admissions requirements, timelines, and guidance on the application process.
- Maintain communication logs and ensure timely responses within defined SLAs.
Application Processing
- Review applications for completeness, accuracy, and eligibility as per university requirements.
- Track application status, manage follow-ups, and support candidates in completing pending documents.
- Coordinate with evaluation committees/faculty for application reviews and shortlist updates.
- Maintain updated records on CRM/admissions systems.
Admissions Operations
- Manage scheduling of interviews, assessments, counselling sessions, or campus visits.
- Support offer-letter generation, fee payment tracking, and onboarding steps for admitted students.
- Assist with orientation planning, pre-arrival communications, and new student welcome processes.
Data, Reporting & Compliance
- Update admissions dashboards, trackers, and MIS reports.
- Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of all applicant data.
- Follow institutional policies, documentation standards, and compliance requirements.
Coordination & Support
- Liaise with marketing, academics, finance, and student affairs to ensure seamless applicant movement across stages.
- Support admission events—open houses, fairs, info sessions, and outreach activities.
- Assist in maintaining admissions SOPs, FAQs, and process documentation.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- 2+ years of experience in admissions, counselling, student-facing roles, or administrative operations—preferably in higher education.
- Experience with CRM/admissions management systems is an advantage.
