Job Title: Admission Counsellor Overseas Education (MBBS)

Location: Madurai

Type: Full-time (Startup Environment)

Our focus is helping NEET-qualified students explore MBBS programs abroad (Russia, Romania, Cyprus, European Union Countries, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan) with complete transparency, compliance, and long-term student support.

Role Summary

The Admission Counsellor will guide students and parents through the MBBS abroad admission process, ensuring accurate information, eligibility verification, and realistic expectation setting. This role is counselling-first, not sales-driven.

Key Responsibilities

* Counsel prospective students regarding academic programs, admission requirements, and career prospects.

* Handle inquiries through phone calls, emails, walk-ins, and social media platforms.

* Maintain records of inquiries and follow up with potential candidates to ensure conversions.

* Conduct campus tours and coordinate admission-related events or activities.

* Explain program details, fee structure, and admission procedures clearly and confidently.

* Assist in documentation, application processing, and verification.

* Achieve admission targets within defined timelines.

* Coordinate with academic and administrative departments for seamless admission operations.

* Participate in promotional and outreach activities, such as education fairs and school visits.

Student & Parent Counselling

Counsel NEET-qualified students on MBBS options abroad

Explain eligibility criteria, fee structure, living costs, and academic expectations clearly

Conduct one-on-one counselling sessions with students and parents

Set realistic expectations about academics, language, lifestyle, and exams (FMGE/NExT)

Eligibility & Documentation Support

Verify NEET qualification and academic records

Guide students through application documentation requirements

Coordinate with documentation/visa teams for smooth processing

Ensure accuracy and compliance in all submitted documents

Ethical Guidance & Transparency

Provide honest advice, even if it means advising a student not to proceed

Avoid false promises related to admissions, pass percentages, or guarantees

Follow company's ethical counselling standards strictly

Coordination & Follow-ups

Maintain student records and counselling notes

Follow up with interested students professionally (no pressure tactics)

Coordinate with operations and international university liaison team

Reporting & Compliance

Maintain daily counselling reports

Track leads, conversions, and student status

Adhere to internal SOPs and regulatory guidelines

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Education

Bachelor's degree (any stream)

Background in education, counselling, or social work is an advantags

Experience

13 years in student counselling / education consultancy preferred

Freshers with strong communication skills and integrity may also apply

Skills

Excellent communication skills (Tamil & English mandatory)

Strong listening and empathy skills

Ability to explain complex information in simple terms

Basic computer skills (MS Office, Google Docs, CRM tools)
