Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Admission Counsellor role based in Bengaluru South. The Admission Counsellor will guide prospective students and their families through the admission process, including explaining programs, eligibility criteria, and application requirements. Daily responsibilities include responding to inquiries via phone, email, and in person, conducting counselling sessions, and following up with leads to support enrollment targets. The role also involves maintaining accurate records of interactions in the CRM or tracking systems, coordinating with internal academic and marketing teams, and participating in admission events, seminars, and outreach activities. The Admission Counsellor is expected to provide a high standard of service while upholding the organization's values and policies.
Qualifications
- Strong Interpersonal Communication and Communication skills to engage confidently with students, parents, and internal stakeholders.
- Customer Service skills to handle inquiries professionally, manage concerns, and provide clear, empathetic guidance throughout the admission process.
- Sales skills to manage leads, conduct persuasive counselling sessions, and support the achievement of enrollment and conversion goals.
- Understanding of the Education sector, admission processes, and academic program structures, or a strong willingness to learn quickly.
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline; a background in education, marketing, or business is an advantage.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office, email, CRM tools) and ability to maintain accurate digital records.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple inquiries and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Comfort communicating in English; knowledge of local/regional languages is a plus.
- Previous experience in counselling, admissions, customer-facing roles, or inside sales is preferred but not mandatory for highly motivated candidates.
