NNF India Office was established in 2022 and is located at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. You will be based in New Delhi, India, however, frequent travel primarily in India will be required as part of the job.
The position
You have expertise in office- and grants administration.
Your responsibilities will include:
- An active contribution in managing and developing administrative processes for seamless operations of the India office, including setting up meetings and support for visits. This includes management of sub-contractors in collaboration with HQ in relation to expenditure flows and overview. Anchoring of IT services for the office including liasoning with corporate IT services and local onsite IT support.
- Ensuring the professional administrative handling of the Novo Nordisk Foundation's grants in India. This includes coordination of compliance related processes, setting up relevant administrative frameworks for grants, providing contextual inputs to grant agreements and others.
- A key role as the backbone of the Foundation's grant-awarding activities, working closely with project managers in the Branch Office (BO) and be the point of contact for the grants management team in HQ (Copenhagen, Denmark)
Your key tasks will include:
- Office administration and post-grant management including financial management of grants to Indian Partners
- Ensure smooth running of the India office by liaising with local service providers for procurement and keeping track of rental agreements
- Track of accounting expenses and invoice processing and any ad-hoc banking related issues.
- Assisist in managing compliance processes for new and ongoing partnerships with NNF Legal (HQ).
- Co-manage with NNF functional areas external service providers including auditing
- Support in the recruitment, onboarding of new colleagues at the India Office. Resource person for onboarding into project management. Nodal point for IT-related tasks at the BO
Essential Qualifications, Skills And Experience

Besides the above you have:
- A Master's degree in a relevant subject (preferably Business, Economics, Legal).
- Excellent administrative skills and relevant experience with grants administration, including managing budgets and internal business administration and processes
- +5 -10 years of relevant experience from research or government institutions, including government agencies, foundations, or academia, and preferably have international collaboration experience
