Job Description – Admin Operations (Placement Department)
Location: Chandigarh University, Unnao Campus
Role Overview:
The Admin Operations Executive/Manager will support the smooth functioning of the Placement Department by managing administrative operations, coordination activities, documentation, student records, scheduling, and communication with recruiters and internal stakeholders. The role requires strong organizational skills, multitasking ability, and coordination with students, companies, and placement teams to ensure seamless placement operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Administrative Operations
- Manage day-to-day administrative activities of the Placement Department
- Maintain student databases, placement records, and documentation
- Prepare reports, MIS, presentations, and placement-related data
- Ensure proper filing and record management of recruitment activities
2. Placement Coordination
- Coordinate with recruiters for campus drives, interviews, and hiring activities
- Schedule interviews, pre-placement talks, assessments, and meetings
- Assist in organizing placement events, job fairs, and industry interactions
- Coordinate with students regarding placement schedules and updates
3. Communication & Stakeholder Management
- Handle communication with companies, HR teams, students, and faculty
- Draft official emails, notices, circulars, and placement announcements
- Ensure timely sharing of placement opportunities and interview information
4. Student Support & Data Management
- Track student participation, interview status, and placement outcomes
- Maintain placement statistics and generate analytical reports
- Support students with documentation and onboarding formalities
5. Compliance & Process Management
- Ensure adherence to placement policies and institutional guidelines
- Maintain confidentiality of student and recruiter data
- Support audits, accreditation requirements, and documentation processes
6. Event & Logistics Management
- Coordinate venue arrangements, hospitality, and logistics for recruiters
- Manage interview rooms, online interview setups, and technical coordination
- Ensure smooth execution of campus placement activities
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Management, Administration, or related field
- 2–8 years of experience in administration, operations, or placement coordination
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good knowledge of MS Office, Excel, MIS, and reporting tools
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently
- Strong coordination and stakeholder management abilities
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in university/college placement departments preferred
- Exposure to recruitment coordination or student operations
- Familiarity with ERP/CRM systems and placement software
