Job Description

ADAS Function Development Lead

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled ADAS Function Development Lead with 8+ years of

experience in advanced driver assistance systems and autonomous driving technologies. The

candidate will lead the development, integration, and testing of ADAS functions across

perception, sensor fusion, planning, control, and vehicle interfaces.

This role will drive both technical execution and cross-functional coordination, ensuring

delivery of robust, safe, and production-ready ADAS features.

Key Responsibilities

1. ADAS Feature Development & Technology Leadership

• Lead end-to-end development of ADAS functions such as ACC, LKA, TJA, HWA, AEB,

and Parking Assistant.

• Define functional concepts, performance KPIs, and behavioral requirements.

• Drive algorithm design for perception, fusion, trajectory planning, and control.

• Guide teams in implementing real-time, production-grade ADAS software modules.

2. System Architecture & Integration

• Define module boundaries, interfaces, and data flows between perception, fusion,

planning, and actuation.

• Collaborate with hardware and ECU teams to integrate functions on production

platforms (e.g., NVIDIA Orin, TI, Qualcomm).

• Ensure compatibility with vehicle subsystems through CAN, FlexRay, or Ethernet-

based communication.

3. Testing, Validation & Verification

• Lead validation activities across:

o Model-in-the-Loop (MiL)

o Software-in-the-Loop (SiL)

o Test vehicles and proving grounds

• Define test plans, traceability, and coverage for ADAS features.

• Analyze data from real-world drives, test benches, and simulation.

• Oversee defect triage, root-cause analysis, and quality improvements.

4. Safety, Compliance & Standards

• Ensure adherence to automotive safety and cybersecurity standards:

o ISO 26262

o SOTIF (ISO 21448)

o ASPICE processes

• Define fallback strategies, functional safety goals, and performance boundaries.

• Collaborate with safety & regulatory teams during design reviews.

5. Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Lead and mentor a team of ADAS engineers (perception, planning, testing,

integration).

• Collaborate with product managers, vehicle integration teams, calibration teams, and

suppliers.

• Drive technical decision-making and support reviews with internal and external

stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Experience

• 8+ years in ADAS/Autonomous Driving development, with hands-on experience in at

least two of the following domains:

o Camera/LiDAR/Radar perception

o Sensor fusion and localization

o Trajectory planning and control

o Embedded systems and real-time software

• Strong proficiency in C++, Python, ROS, and modern automotive frameworks.

• Experience with automotive ECUs, AUTOSAR (Classic/Adaptive), and embedded

Linux/QNX.

• Familiarity with CAN, CAN-FD, diagnostics, and vehicle integration.

Testing & Validation Skills

• Hands-on experience with:

o Simulation platforms (CARLA, dSPACE, IPG Carmaker, Vector tools)

o ADAS calibration and tuning

o Large-scale data analysis for performance validation

Leadership & Delivery

• Proven track record leading feature development or engineering teams.

• Ability to translate functional requirements into technical tasks and roadmaps.

• Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Level 2+/Level 3 ADAS programs.

• Knowledge of machine learning frameworks (PyTorch/TensorFlow).

• Exposure to cloud-based test automation, data pipelines, or MLOps.

• Experience working with OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers.
