As an ad Script writer you write the words that stop the scroll for short form media. At ScoreUp, every ad lives or dies in the first 3 seconds — and that's your territory. You'll write high-converting performance ad scripts per week for AI UGC and live-action ads, built around proven performance frameworks and fresh angles briefed by the Creative Strategist and feedback from performance marketing team.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Write performance ads scripts— hooks, body, CTA — for Reels, YouTube short form formats
- Craft multiple hook variants(pain, curiosity, social proof, bold claim) per concept to A/B test
- Translate performance briefs and winning data signals into fresh creative angles
- Study competitor ads and audience language (reviews, Reddit, forums) to find resonant voice
- Iterate fast — refine scripts based on CTR, hook rate, and scroll-stop data within 48 hrs
- Maintain a living swipe file of high-performing hooks, structures, and frameworks
Collaboration
- Work closely with the design, growth & performance marketing team to develop effective creatives.
- Contribute ideas to improve creative campaigns and brand storytelling.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 2+ years writing direct-response or paid social copy
- Deep understanding of hook frameworks (Pattern interrupt, VSL, POV)
- Familiarity with Meta Ads, YouTube/ Short form ad formats
- Ability to write in multiple voices (relatable UGC, authority, peer-to-peer)
- Comfortable working with data — CTR, CVR, thumb-stop rate
- Fast turnaround — scripts delivered within hrs of brief
- Bonus: Experience with EdTech, finance, or scaled consumer apps
- Bonus: Familiarity with AI tools for writing
