Duties:
Required to work closely and proactively with the pricing actuaries and client managers in the team on various aspects of reinsurance pricing, such as:
- Support the pricing of reinsurance quotes, including modelling, analysis and documentation
- Assist in assumption setting, through derivation of assumptions and documentation for mortality/morbidity risks
- Assist in conducting experience reviews for in-force reinsurance treaties, including collating data, analysis and results documentation
- Provide support on other ad-hoc pricing initiatives or tasks where required (e.g. actuarial model enhancements, treaty review etc.)
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- Undergraduate pursuing a degree in Actuarial Science or relevant
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and programming
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with a proactive attitude toward self-learning and independent problem-solving
- Good understanding of actuarial valuation principles, i.e. having completed actuarial life contingency course
- Detail oriented with the ability to work to timelines
