Actuarial analyst

Job Description:

We are looking for an Actuarial Analyst/Consultant with 2+ years of experience in General Insurance or Health Insurance actuarial functions. The candidate should have hands-on experience in one or more areas such as Pricing, Reserving, Rate Filing, or Capital Modelling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform actuarial analysis for General Insurance / Health Insurance portfolios.
• Support pricing and rate adequacy analysis using historical claims and exposure data.
• Develop and maintain pricing models, rating factors, loss cost models and indications.
• Perform reserving analysis, including IBNR, outstanding claims and loss development.
• Assist with rate filings, actuarial documentation and regulatory requirements.
• Support capital modelling, risk assessment and solvency analysis.
• Analyse claims, premium, exposure and policy-level data to identify trends and portfolio risks.
• Perform experience studies, profitability analysis and portfolio segmentation.
• Prepare actuarial reports, dashboards and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Validate data, assumptions and actuarial model outputs.
• Collaborate with underwriting, claims, finance, risk and other actuarial teams.

Required Skills:

• 2+ years of actuarial experience in General Insurance or Health Insurance.
• Strong understanding of P&C/General Insurance or Health Insurance products.
• Experience in at least one of:
• Pricing
• Reserving
• Rate Filing
• Capital Modelling
• Good understanding of claims, premium, exposure and loss ratios.
• Knowledge of actuarial techniques such as Loss Development, Chain Ladder, Bornhuetter-Ferguson, frequency/severity and trend analysis.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Experience with SQL, R, Python, SAS, Emblem, Radar, Igloo or similar actuarial tools is an advantage.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Progress toward Actuarial exams/qualification is preferred.
