Title: System Administrator (Active Directory)

Location: Hebbal, Bengaluru, KA (100% WFO)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Active Directory & Office 365 Administrator to manage, secure, and optimize our identity, messaging, and collaboration environment. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in AD, Azure AD, Exchange Online, O365 administration, and strong troubleshooting skills relevant to enterprise-scale environments.

Key Responsibilities

Active Directory (AD) Management

  • Manage user, group, OU, and GPO administration across multi-domain or enterprise environments.
  • Handle account lifecycle processescreation, modification, deletion, and disablement aligned with HR processes (similar to AD & Exchange workflow.
  • Implement and maintain Group Policies, login scripts, password policies, and security baselines.
  • Monitor and optimize AD replication, FSMO roles, DNS, DHCP, Sites & Services.
  • Perform AD health checks and patching.

Office 365 Administration

  • Manage users, groups, licenses.
  • Administer Exchange Online, mail flow, transport rules, mailbox policies, and retention.
  • Manage SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, and collaboration services.
  • Handle email retention, forwarding, access control, and security features as referenced in internal policies.
  • Troubleshoot sync issues between Azure AD & Onprem AD (AAD Connect).
  • Configure and monitor M365 security & compliance Center features.

Identity & Security

  • Implement conditional access, MFA, and authentication policies.
  • Manage and Administrate email Security (Barracuda)
  • Ensure compliance with internal IT security standards (e.g., policies reflected in ISMS documents).
  • Audit access permissions and monitor privileged accounts.

Operational Support & Troubleshooting

  • Provide L2/L3 support for AD/O365 incidents; perform root cause analysis.
  • Handle escalations related to authentication, email issues, licensing, or collaboration tools.
  • Work with vendors (e.g., Microsoft, ManageEngine)

Required Skills & Experience

  • 68 years of handson experience in Active Directory & Office 365 administration.
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • Windows Server roles (AD DS, DHCP, DNS)
  • Azure AD & AAD Connect
  • Exchange Online
  • SharePoint/OneDrive/Teams
  • Knowledge of PowerShell scripting for automation.
  • Knowledge of M365 security, compliance, DLP, email retention policies.
  • Familiarity with ITSM processes (Incident/Change/Problem).
