Job Description

Onni Group is seeking an experienced AR Manager will oversee centralized Accounts Receivable operations for Onni Global India, supporting a diverse income-producing property portfolio spanning multifamily, commercial, hospitality, and food & beverage assets. Leading a team of AR Specialists, this role ensures accurate and timely processing of tenant and customer receivable transactions across multiple property management platforms.

This position is accountable for maintaining compliance with company policies, internal controls, and SOPs, while driving team performance through effective staffing, training, and coaching. The AR Manager will collaborate closely with U.S.-based accounting, property management, and operational leadership teams, serving as a key partner in upholding the integrity and consistency of receivable processes across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

AR Operations & Team Leadership

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the centralized AR team across multiple property management platforms and operating entities.
  • Supervise and oversee AR transaction entry including tenant charges, cash receipts, adjustments, transfers, deposits, write-offs, and related receivable activity.
  • Ensure all AR processing is completed accurately and within established company timelines and service level expectations.
  • Monitor transaction quality, productivity, and accuracy metrics for AR staff.
  • Review and audit work completed by AR Specialists to ensure data integrity and compliance standards are met.

People Management & Development

  • Hire, onboard, train, mentor, and develop AR staff and replacement personnel as needed.
  • Conduct employee performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and professional development.
  • Create and maintain process documentation and training materials for AR procedures.

Process & Compliance

  • Maintain and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs), internal controls, and company accounting policies.
  • Ensure proper segregation of duties and adherence to audit and compliance requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, workflow efficiencies, and automation initiatives.
  • Support implementation of new systems, procedures, and operational enhancements.

Financial Reporting & Cross-Functional Support

  • Assist with month-end closing processes related to accounts receivable and revenue transactions.
  • Coordinate with U.S.-based accounting and property management teams to resolve discrepancies, escalated issues, and operational questions.
  • Prepare operational reporting and performance summaries for management review.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings with U.S. leadership and operational teams.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial and tenant information.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • University-level education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 10+ years of accounts receivable, accounting operations, or property management accounting experience.
  • 2+ years of team leadership experience.
  • Mandatory minimum 2 years of experience in property management, real estate, hospitality, or commercial accounting is required.
  • Experience supporting high-volume transaction processing environments preferred.
  • Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes and accounting fundamentals.
  • Ability to manage priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across international and cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, reconciliations) and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Good to have experience with Yardi Voyager or similar property management and accounting software platforms preferred.
