Role: Accounts Receivable Data Entry Specialist

Work Arrangement: Work from Home

Location: India

Schedule: Night shift

Job description:

  • Enter and process customer invoices into the accounting system accurately and timely.
  • Maintain customer records, including new customer setup and updates.
  • Upload and apply customer payments in the system based on remittance documentation.
  • Perform daily cash application data entry.
  • Assist in generating accounts receivable reports for review by senior accounting staff.
  • Organize and maintain documentation for invoices, payments, and customer correspondence.
  • Identify and flag discrepancies for review by the Staff Accountant.
  • Support collections process by preparing standard reminder notices (as directed).
  • Assist with compiling supporting documentation for audits.
  • Provide general administrative and transactional support to the Accounting team.
  • Assist with month-end support tasks such as pulling reports and organizing backup documentation

What This Role Does Not Own

  • GAAP-based journal entries
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Financial statement preparation
  • SOX control ownership
  • AR strategy or collections negotiations
  • Complex account analysis

Qualification and requirements:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
  • 02 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or data entry experience.
  • At least 2 years of data entry experience preferred.
  • Basic understanding of accounts receivable concepts (training provided).
  • Experience working with accounting systems (NetSuite or similar is a plus)
  • Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Basic Excel skills (data entry, sorting, basic formulas).
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage repetitive, high-volume tasks,
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Non-negotiable skills & requirements:

  • 02 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or data entry experience.
  • At least 2 years of data entry experience preferred.
  • Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Basic Excel skills (data entry, sorting, basic formulas).
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage repetitive, high-volume tasks,
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
