Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accounts Receivable Caller role based in Bengaluru. The Accounts Receivable Caller will be responsible for following up on insurance claims and patient accounts via phone, verifying claim status, resolving denials, and securing timely payment. The role includes reviewing account histories, updating account information in the billing system, documenting all interactions accurately, and escalating complex issues when required. The caller will coordinate with internal billing, coding, and RCM teams to address discrepancies and ensure adherence to payer guidelines. The position also involves meeting defined productivity and quality targets, maintaining professional communication with payers, and supporting continuous process improvements.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and customer interaction skills, including clear spoken English and professional telephone etiquette.
- Foundational knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle processes, including insurance claims, denials, and basic medical billing concepts.
- Proficiency in using computers, practice management or billing software, and maintaining accurate data entry and documentation.
- Ability to analyze account status, prioritize follow-up tasks, and resolve issues within defined timelines and quality standards.
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; a degree in commerce, healthcare administration, or a related field is an advantage.
- Previous experience in U.S. healthcare accounts receivable calling or RCM is preferred but not mandatory for capable, trainable candidates.
- Willingness to work in shift-based schedules as required by business needs and to adhere to company policies and compliance standards.
