Accounts Payable Manager

A well-established health and wellness brand is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead its accounts payable function. The role will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely vendor payments, strong financial controls, smooth month-end closure and compliance across the invoice-to-pay cycle. The incumbent will manage a team of 4–5 members, strengthen AP processes and SOPs, and partner closely with internal teams, vendors and auditors.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end invoice-to-pay process, from invoice verification to payment completion
• Manage vendor accounting, reconciliations, ageing and query resolution
• Ensure timely and accurate vendor payments while maintaining appropriate controls
• Drive month-end closing, expense provisioning, AP schedules and expense MIS
• Ensure compliance with GST, TDS and other applicable statutory requirements
• Support internal, statutory and tax audits with accurate documentation and reconciliations
• Establish, monitor and improve AP SOPs, approval processes and internal controls
• Partner with procurement, business teams and vendors to resolve operational issues
• Lead, review and develop a team of 4–5 AP professionals

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable or Finance Operations
• At least 2–3 years of team management experience
• Strong knowledge of AP processes, vendor accounting, reconciliations and statutory compliance
• Experience in process governance, SOP implementation and internal controls
• Experience in FMCG, D2C, retail or consumer startups will be preferred

Qualification

B.Com, M.Com, CA-Inter, MBA Finance or an equivalent finance qualification.
