Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Executive to manage vendor payments, invoice processing, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and experience working with ERP systems in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities and Duties
- Verify, process, and record vendor invoices accurately in the accounting system.
- Coordinate with vendors to resolve discrepancies/update payment status.
- Ensure proper accounting entries in line with company policies.
- Assist in month-end closing activities.
- Prepare variance analysis for management review.
- Maintain accurate documentation and audit trails.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations (TDS, GST input credit, etc).
- Perform vendor account reconciliations quarterly.
- Track outstanding payables and ageing analysis
- Prepare AP reports for management review.
Required Skills and Experience
- 2–3 years of hands-on experience in the Accounts Payable function.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and vendor managnt.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis functions.
- Experience working with ERP systems and financial software such as SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
- High level of accuracy, integrity, and accountability.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in process improvement and automation within Accounts Payable functions.
- Knowledge of internal controls, audit processes, and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with financial reporting and management dashboards.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- Inter CA or Inter CMA qualification preferred.
