About the role.
We're looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end payables management, from invoice processing and vendor payments to tax compliance and month-end accounting.
This is a hands-on role that requires strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of Indian tax regulations, and the ability to work in a fast-paced SaaS environment.
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role.
- B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter or equivalent qualification in Accounting or Finance.
- Strong working knowledge of TDS and GST regulations in India.
- Proficiency in accounting software, specifically Zoho Books and QBO.
- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills for data tracking and MIS reporting.
- Prior experience at a SaaS or technology company is a plus.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a strong ownership mindset.
Day to Day:
1. Payables & Vendor Management
- Process vendor invoices within 2 working days and ensure compliance with the approval matrix.
- Manage employee reimbursements and credit card documentation in line with company policy.
- Execute payment cycles on the 8th and 23rd of every month, maintaining strict working capital discipline.
- Maintain vendor relationships by prioritizing urgent payments and ensuring contract adherence.
2. Accounting & Month-End Close- Post accurate journal entries and account for prepaids/provisions by the 3rd of every month.
- Ensure 100% accuracy in expense tagging across Business Units (BU) and Sub-BUs.
- Prepare monthly MIS reports, including AP ageing, spend analysis, and budget vs. actuals.
- Maintain real-time dashboards to provide visibility into payables and outstanding liabilities.
3. Tax Compliance- Verify and ensure accurate TDS deductions and GST input credits for every invoice.
- Track and facilitate timely monthly tax payments and quarterly return filings.
