Primary job title (LinkedIn top-performing): Accounts Executive - Purchase
Industry: Finance & Procurement function within a commercial services environment supporting B2B operations across India. This on-site role is focused on purchase accounting, vendor management and transactional controls to ensure timely procurement accounting and statutory compliance.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end purchase accounting: process purchase orders, record invoices, match GRNs, and post supplier entries in the ERP system.
- Own accounts payable lifecycle: validate vendor invoices, secure approvals, schedule payments, and maintain payment records to meet vendor SLAs.
- Perform vendor reconciliation and resolve discrepancies by investigating PO, invoice, and goods receipt variances.
- Ensure GST and statutory compliance for purchase transactions, prepare supporting documents for audits, and assist in e-invoicing processes.
- Generate and maintain purchase ledgers, month-end accruals, and supporting schedules for timely month-end closure.
- Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, and operations teams to improve invoice routing, reduce exceptions, and streamline POinvoice matching.
