Job Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Executive with hands-on experience in managing accounts for e-commerce businesses. The ideal candidate must be proficient in QuickBooks, Shopify, and have prior exposure to e-commerce accounting and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting entries using QuickBooks, Excel and Shopify. Do not apply if you don't have Quick Books, Excel, and Shopify experience
- Reconcile bank accounts, payment gateways, and Shopify sales reports
- Maintain books of accounts, ledgers, and financial records accurately
- Generate GST reports, TDS filings, and assist with statutory compliance
- Track inventory and cost of goods sold in coordination with the warehouse and operations team
- Coordinate with logistics teams for order tracking and payment reconciliations
- Prepare and manage advanced Excel spreadsheets for financial reports, data analysis, and forecasting
- Support internal audits and ensure accounting accuracy across all transactions
- Collaborate with the e-commerce and sales teams for revenue reconciliation
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 4-5 years of accounting experience in an online e-commerce environment
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Shopify, and Excel is mandatory
- Knowledge about US taxation is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of Excel functions like VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, data validation, and dynamic reporting
- Understanding of accounting principles, GST, TDS, and Indian tax compliance
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small, dynamic team
- Prior experience with international sales or exports is a plus
