We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Executive – Canada to support day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting functions for Canadian clients.
Key Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities :
- Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Handle Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) matching.
- Code and categorize uncategorized transactions in accounting systems.
- Attach and maintain supporting documentation for all transactions.
- Clear suspense accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Match and reconcile loan statements with accounting records.
- Conduct payroll entry verification for accuracy.
- Assist in basic GST review preparation.
- Perform cash and credit card balance confirmations.
- Conduct AR/AP aging checks to ensure data integrity.
Review & Analytical Support :
- Support GST reasonability analysis.
- Assist in payroll liability confirmation.
- Participate in loan balance confirmations.
- Support equity movement reviews.
- Assist in variance analysis (month-over-month and trend-based insights).
Education & Experience :
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.
- Familiarity with Canadian accounting practices and GST regulations is preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar)
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Good communication skills for coordination with internal teams.
- Ability to work in U.S. time zones.
