Job Description

The role

Join our Australian finance operations team to review and verify provider invoices against approved pricing schedules and budgets. You will ensure invoices are accurate, compliant and fully documented before approval.

What you'll do

  • Quickly learn and apply current pricing schedules and service categories.
  • Check invoices for: correct rates, dates, units, tax treatment, supplier details, approved budgets and service approvals.
  • Flag discrepancies and draft clear, notes for approval or escalation.
  • Follow SOPs precisely; keep version control and accurate records in our CRM.
  • Meet strict accuracy and turnaround targets; support ongoing quality improvement.

Must-have

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field.
  • English C1+ (professional email and documentation) and strong numeracy.
  • Excel (intermediate): XLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH, PivotTables, SUMIF/S, COUNTIF/S, IF, text functions, data validation, conditional formatting, basic error handling.
  • 2+ years in billing, audit or reconciliation (AP/AR, insurance claims, medical RCM, or finance ops).
  • Proven high-volume handling: 100 invoices/week at 98% accuracy with SLA discipline.
  • Strong data privacy mindset: no credential sharing; comfortable working from read-only exports and secure task queues; understands Australian data privacy laws.
  • Reliable home office (stable internet, power backup, quiet workspace) and 34 hrs AEST/AEDT overlap.

Nice-to-have

  • Exposure to Australian fee schedules or government/insurer billing.
  • Knowledge of GST (taxable vs GST-free services) and ABN lookups.
  • QA/audit experience (sampling, error taxonomy, corrective actions).
