Role Overview
This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys handson work, accurate bookkeeping, reconciliations, financial reporting, and improving finance processes. The position supports
AP/AR, management reporting, cost tracking, and Excelbased analysis, with exposure to international operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) (invoice processing, receipts, vendor payments, client reconciliations)
- Perform bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and support monthly closing
- Assist with project costing, budget tracking, cash flow monitoring, and cost allocation
- Support preparation of management accounts, MIS, and financial reporting for India & UK teams
- Prepare basic financial models, analysis, and variance reports
- Maintain templates, trackers, finance dashboards, and documentation
- Use Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas) and digital tools to improve accuracy & efficiency
- Work with Xero accounting software for bookkeeping, reconciliations, and reporting
- Use AI-assisted tools (Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, automation tools) where helpful for efficiency
Must-Have Skills
Skills & Requirements
- Strong understanding of endtoend accounting processes
- Excellent handson skills in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, Pivot Tables, complex formulas)
- Clear written and spoken English communication
- Experience with Xero (mandatory or highly preferred)
- Ability to maintain accuracy, deadlines, and financial discipline
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL)
- Exposure to financial operations, budgeting, cash flow, and management reporting
- Knowledge of audit preparation, compliance documentation, and reconciliations
- Comfortable using AI tools, automation platforms, and digital workflows
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience in accounting or finance
- B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance / CAInter preferred
- Experience with Xero is a strong advantage
