Job Description – Accounts Assistant

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to support the finance team in managing day-to-day accounting operations. The role involves handling financial records, assisting with reconciliations, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions in accounting software.
  • Assist in preparation of invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
  • Assist in preparation of GST, TDS, Provident fund and other statutory filings.
  • Coordinate with vendors and clients for payment follow-ups and confirmations.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
  • Prepare and maintain spreadsheets, reports, and summaries for management review.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
  • 1–3 years of experience in accounting and finance roles.
  • Knowledge of Tally, ERP systems, or other accounting software.
  • Good understanding of GST, TDS, and Indian accounting standards.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office tools.
  • Attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
