About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced US Accounting Team Lead to manage a team of accounting professionals supporting US-based clients. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on accounting expertise, proven team management experience, and the ability to drive quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of accounting professionals.
  • Review and oversee end-to-end accounting processes including AP, AR, Bank Reconciliations, Bookkeeping, Journal Entries, and Month-End Close.
  • Ensure accuracy and timely delivery of financial reports and client deliverables.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for client communication and query resolution.
  • Monitor team performance, provide feedback, and support professional development.
  • Identify process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency.
  • Manage workload allocation and ensure adherence to deadlines.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of hands-on accounting experience supporting US/UK clients.
  • Mandatory: Minimum 2+ years of team handling/people management experience.
  • Strong experience in AP, AR, Bank Reconciliations, Bookkeeping, Journal Entries, and Financial Reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with QuickBooks, Xero, Yardi, or MRI.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Preferred

  • Experience managing a team of 5+ members.
  • Prior experience in outsourcing/BPO/KPO/shared services environments.
  • Exposure to direct client interactions and stakeholder management.
