Job Description - Accounting Specialist Senior - P2P (Purchase-to-Pay) Specialist
Location: Gurgaon
Experience Required: 5 - 9 years
Shift Timing: Morning shift, 9:00 AM
Scope of Service The person at site will be responsible for providing services related to the Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable & Payment Processing
Verification of documents including invoices, debit notes, credit notes, BOE, and other supporting documents.
Accurate entry and adjustment of invoices, debit notes, and credit notes, ensuring timely processing.
Processing of payments in line with company policies and timelines.
Collaboration & Issue Resolution
Work in partnership with in-country personnel to resolve issues as they arise.
Enforce adoption of agreed channel strategies.
Work with vendors regularly to resolve queries.
System & Reporting:
Understand and utilize ERP systems and supporting tools related to accounts payable.
Reconcile and analyze general ledger accounts as required.
Reconcile vendor statements to ensure accuracy.
Prepare reports and support audits (internal and statutory).
Process Improvement & Policy Review
Identify and present solutions for continuous process improvement.
Review and propose changes to Accounts Payable policies and procedures in response to market, company, or industry changes.
Month-End & Audit Support
Support month-end closure activities related to accounts payable.
Assist with internal and statutory audits for assigned areas.
Shared Service Centre Transition
Support the transition of additional countries into the Shared Service Centre.
Other Responsibilities:
Handle finance and P2P related day-to-day and ad hoc activities.
Provide timely updates to stakeholders on payment status and compliance matters.
Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and P2P cycle.
Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).
Analytical skills for reconciliation and problem resolution.
Ability to collaborate across teams and manage vendor relationships.
Attention to detail and compliance orientation.
