Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist with 2+ years of hands-on experience in QuickBooks to support and manage onshore accounting operations from an offshore delivery center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close activities, and coordinating with onshore finance teams to ensure timely and compliant accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day accounting activities using QuickBooks (Online/Desktop)

Record and reconcile transactions including AR, AP, general ledger, and bank reconciliations

Prepare and post journal entries accurately and on time

Support month-end and year-end close activities

Process invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments

Assist with financial statements preparation (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)

Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls

Coordinate with onshore accounting and finance teams for reporting and clarifications

Maintain proper documentation and audit-ready financial records

Required Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field

Minimum 2 years of hands-on accounting experience using QuickBooks

Strong understanding of core accounting principles (GAAP knowledge preferred)

Experience handling onshore (US) accounting processes is a plus

Proficiency in MS Excel (reconciliations, formulas, reports)

High attention to detail and strong analytical skills

Good written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work in coordination with onshore teams and time zones

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting US-based clients or accounting firms

Knowledge of payroll, sales tax, and 1099 processing (added advantage)

Exposure to audit support and compliance activities
