Accounting Manager

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee accounting operations for a manufacturing business. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, timely month-end close, analysis of business performance, and strong internal control practices. The Accounting Manager will lead and mentor a small accounting team (2–3 staff) and collaborate closely with cross-functional departments and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

· Own and manage end-to-end accounting activities for the entity.

· Lead the month-end and year-end financial closing process, ensuring accuracy and adherence to reporting deadlines.

· Prepare and review financial statements, management reporting, and variance analysis.

· Perform balance sheet GL reconciliations and conduct detailed expense GL scrutiny.

· Oversee inventory accounting and manufacturing-related accounting tasks.

· Work on financials and reporting for smaller group entities as required.

· Analyze financial performance to support decision-making and business initiatives.

· Collaborate with auditors and address audit/tax queries in a timely manner.

· Implement and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.

· Respond to tax queries and ensure appropriate compliance support.

· Supervise, coach, and monitor daily activities of a 2–3 person accounting team.

· Partner with operations, supply chain, and finance teams to improve data integrity and reporting.

· Optimize accounting processes and drive continuous improvement in financial reporting.

· Work proactively to manage timelines, priorities, and deliverables.

Qualifications & Experience:

· Chartered Accountant (CA) with 8–12 years of relevant accounting experience, including prior exposure to manufacturing.

· Strong knowledge of US GAAP and experience with IFRS.

· Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.

· Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams.

· Ability to work proactively and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
