About the opportunity

Our client is a growing accounting firm that partners with e-commerce businesses across the US and Canada. As more clients join the business, they're looking for experienced accountants who can take ownership of their work, communicate confidently with clients, and deliver consistently high-quality financial reporting.

Rather than working on a single business, you'll manage accounting across multiple client accounts, balancing competing priorities while ensuring every client receives accurate, timely financial support. You'll work closely with an experienced team that values attention to detail, proactive communication, and getting things right the first time.

What you will do

Manage day-to-day accounting:

• Manage the complete accounting cycle across multiple client accounts, including reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close, payroll, sales tax, and financial reporting.
• Maintain accurate financial records, investigate discrepancies, and ensure client accounts are always up to date.
• Balance multiple priorities while consistently delivering accurate work and meeting deadlines.

Work closely with clients

• Communicate with clients professionally over email and video calls, answer accounting queries, and gather the information needed to keep work moving.
• Develop a strong understanding of each client's business to provide reliable day-to-day accounting support.
• Collaborate closely with your team to ensure work is completed accurately and delivered on time.

Improve the way work gets done

• Identify opportunities to improve existing processes and contribute ideas that make the team's workflows more efficient.
• Maintain clear documentation and ensure your work is organised, accurate, and easy for others to review.
• Stay up to date with accounting best practices and continue developing your technical knowledge.

Who we are looking for

• You've spent 5+ years working in accounting and can confidently manage the full accounting cycle with minimal supervision.
• You've worked in an accounting firm, outsourced finance team, or another multi-client environment, where you've managed multiple clients simultaneously.
• You're professionally qualified as a CA, ACCA, ACA, CPA, or are currently working towards your qualification, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• You've worked with QuickBooks Online and are comfortable using cloud-based accounting software as part of your day-to-day work.
• You're an excellent communicator with strong spoken and written English, and you're confident working directly with clients in a professional setting.
• You're organised, detail-oriented, and proactive, with a track record of delivering accurate work across competing priorities.

Bonus points if you have

• Experience working with eCommerce businesses.
• Exposure to payroll, sales tax, or inventory accounting.
• Experience supporting US or Canadian clients.
