Role Summary
This role is responsible for end-to-end ownership of processes under R2R, P2P, O2C, and Compliance. The Accounting Lead ensures accurate and timely accounting, period close, financial reporting, and balance sheet integrity. The position requires
strong accounting expertise, analytical skills, and close collaboration with operations, business, and finance teams. The role also involves managing complex partner reconciliations, timely vendor invoice processing, and ensuring adherence to internal policies, contracts, and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities, including review of journal entries.
- Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations while ensuring strong internal control compliance.
- Analyse P&L and balance sheet variances and provide business insights/commentary.
- Ensure adherence to GAAP/Ind AS/IFRS, as applicable.
- Coordinate with internal and statutory auditors and provide required documentation.
- Monitor and strengthen R2R processes to drive efficiency and accuracy.
- Support fixed assets accounting and partner reconciliations.
- Review invoice accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and ensure proper approvals.
- Drive AP and AR ageing reviews and improve payment and collection discipline.
- Ensure compliance with tax requirements on vendor payments (GST, TDS, WHT, etc.).
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure audit readiness.
- Support automation initiatives and process improvements within P2P and R2R.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant with 2-4 years of accounting experience, preferably in fast-paced industries such as e-commerce or
fintech.
- Proficiency in ERP systems such as Tally.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work under strict timelines during close cycles
