About the Role:
We are seeking a Freelance/ Independent Contractor that is an experienced Controller/ Accountant with a strong background in U.S.A. GAAP accounting principles and hands-on experience using Odoo Financials. Key Responsibilities:
- Have a deep understanding of ERP systems, GAAP accounting principles, and workflow business maps
- Prepare, review, and maintain financial statements in accordance with U.S.A. GAAP
- Identify and implement process improvements for greater efficiency and accuracy.
- Manage daily accounting operations, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
- Utilize Odoo ERP for financial transactions, reporting, and process automation.
- Assist with audits, ensuring documentation and internal controls meet compliance standards.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, HR, and Operations teams to ensure accurate financial data flow.
- Experience with US school accounting preferred
Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational abilities.
- Experience in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of Controller experience with demonstrated knowledge of U.S.A. GAAP.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative and deadline-driven environment.
