About The Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented
Tax & Accounting Professional with strong knowledge of
US tax laws, compliance, and bookkeeping.
This role involves managing end-to-end tax filing processes, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting clients with accounting and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Tax Filing & Compliance
- Prepare and file US Federal & State tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations (C-Corp/S-Corp), and LLCs.
- Handle quarterly estimated tax calculations and ensure timely tax payments.
- Stay updated on IRS regulations, tax reforms, and state-specific compliance changes.
- Assist with tax planning and identify potential deductions, credits, and optimizations for clients.
- Respond to IRS and state notices and support audits, if required.
Bookkeeping & Accounting
- Maintain day-to-day bookkeeping using QuickBooks, Xero, or other US GAAP-compliant accounting systems.
- Perform bank reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable management, and monthly journal entries.
- Prepare financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) on a monthly/quarterly basis.
- Ensure accurate general ledger maintenance and compliance with US GAAP standards.
Client Communication & Support
- Work closely with US-based clients to gather financial data and documentation.
- Advise clients on tax-saving strategies and compliance deadlines.
- Provide year-end closing support and assist with 1099/1096, W-2/W-3 filings.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 35 years of experience in US tax filing and accounting.
- Strong knowledge of US Federal & State tax regulations, including Form 1040, 1065, 1120, 1120S, and payroll tax compliance.
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks, Xero, Drake Tax, Lacerte, or similar US accounting/tax software.
- Familiarity with US GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (neutral/US accent preferred for client interaction).
- Ability to work in US time zones when required, especially during tax season.
