Scope And Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all financial accounting, with a focus on management fee, investment income, and other fund related transactional accounting.
  • Preparation and ownership of schedules for management fee and investment income, including performance of general ledger account analysis and preparing explanations on monthly and quarterly fluctuations.
  • Perform reconciliation of non-GAAP to GAAP results on a quarterly basis with a focus on management fee and investment income.
  • Roll forward of month and quarter-end schedules.
  • Preparing and uploading management fee, investment income, and other fund related transactional accounting journal entries.
  • Prepare ad hoc financial analyses as required for management reporting.
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives as required, documenting operating process, accounting considerations and conclusions.
  • Assist in development and maintenance of consistent accounting policies with focus on investment income and management fee revenue.
  • Assist in reviewing existing processes for automation and improvement opportunities.
  • Perform certain key internal control processes.
  • Responsible for monitoring day-to-day cash postings and reviewing underlying support with a focus on management fee and investment income.
  • Responsibilities of the Corporate Accounting Analyst will be to provide certain operational and procedural support within the Corporate Accounting department.

Experience Required

  • 3+ years of accounting experience.
  • Ability to work in a team setting and corroborate with other team members
  • Strong reconciliation and analysis skills
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to understand and resolve complex problems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ensures compliance with corporate financial standards and internal control requirements
  • Experience with Workday financials is a plus

  • Ability to take the lead on various projects and communicate on follow-up items and progress for completion as scope of work expands, if necessary.

Education

  • A chartered accountant with 3+ years of experience.
