Position Summary

The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). This role is responsible for leading close processes, maintaining financial integrity, supporting audits, and driving continuous improvements across accounting operations. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements in compliance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Lead month-end and year-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts including fixed assets, accruals, and intercompany balances.
  • Perform technical accounting research and assist with implementation of new accounting standards (ASC updates).
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to audit requests.
  • Maintain and improve internal controls and compliance documentation.
  • Prepare audit schedules, tax support documents, and management reporting packs.
  • Analyze financial data, identify variances, and provide actionable insights to management.
  • Collaborate with FP&A, Tax, Operations, and HR teams to ensure reporting accuracy.
  • Participate in automation and process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce risk.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 47 years of experience in accounting with strong exposure to U.S. GAAP.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks Enterprise.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and accounting principles.
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with accounting tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CA, CPA, or in-progress certification preferred.
  • Experience in SaaS, technology, or multinational organizations.
  • Exposure to SOX compliance and internal control frameworks.
