Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Salem. The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial transactions, including recording journal entries, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling bank statements. Responsibilities include preparing invoices, handling accounts payable and receivable, and assisting with monthly and annual closing processes. The role also involves preparing financial reports, supporting budgeting activities, monitoring cash flow, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and local regulations. The Accountant will collaborate with internal teams and external auditors, maintain organized documentation, and contribute to process improvements in the finance function.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong core accounting skills, including general ledger management, journal entry posting, and accounts payable/receivable handling.
• Candidates should possess proficiency in financial reporting and analysis, including preparation of balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
• Candidates should possess skills in using accounting software and office productivity tools, such as ERP systems, spreadsheet applications, and financial databases.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance practices applicable to the textile and financial services sectors.
• Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Relevant academic background, such as a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce, and professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA, or equivalent) are beneficial.
• Prior experience in accounting roles, especially within manufacturing, textiles, or financial services, is an advantage.
