Shonan Engineering Works Private Limited (SEWPL) specializes in water supply and sanitation projects, primarily under the Government of India's Jal Jeevan Mission. The company is a leading contractor in implementing Source to Tap and FHTC projects for the past 40 Years. With manufacturing facilities for large-diameter water supply pipes and related products located in Ahmednagar MIDC, SEWPL continues to drive impactful infrastructure projects. The head office is located in Pune, Maharashtra, India. We are currently looking to expand our Accounts team in Pune. Salary offered is 3-4 LPA depending on experience of candidate.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Pune for an Accountant. The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing and analyzing financial reports, handling accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and ensuring compliance with tax and regulatory requirements. Other responsibilities include assisting with budgeting, payroll processing, and supporting audit activities.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Financial Reporting, Financial Analysis, and Budgeting
• Tally Prime working knowledge is a must.
• Proficiency in Accounting Software, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable
• Expertise in Tax Compliance, GST, and other regulatory frameworks
• Solid understanding of Bank Reconciliation and Payroll Processing
• Excellent organizational, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Prior experience working in government or infrastructure projects is advantageous
• Effective communication and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
