Accountant/Senior Accountant

What you'll be doing

• Maintain the general ledger and prepare accurate journal entries.

• Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.

• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations and financial schedules.

• Prepare monthly financial reports for business units and management.

• Compile and submit half-yearly consolidation packages.

• Handle statutory reporting, including audit coordination, income tax, and GST submissions.

• Liaise with corporate secretarial agents for statutory filings and compliance matters.

• Coordinate with bankers on banking facilities and financial matters.

• Monitor cash flow and assist in budgeting and financial analysis.

• Guide and review the work of junior finance team members.

• Work closely with other departments to resolve operational finance issues, such as process gaps and documentation inconsistencies.

• Assist in process enhancements and system implementation initiatives.

• Perform other finance-related and ad-hoc tasks as assigned

What we're looking for

• Recognized accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA) or relevant degree in Accounting

• Minimum 5 years experiences in handling full set of accounts

• Minimum 3 years experience in a supervisory role

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices and regulatory requirements

• Proficient in the use of accounting software (e.g.: AutoCount/Quick Book/SAP B1) and MS Office applications

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure

• Good communication and interpersonal skills
