Position: Accountant – Project/Site Accounting

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant with relevant experience in Transmission Line, Substation, or Power Projects. The ideal candidate should have strong exposure to site/project accounting and be capable of independently managing day-to-day accounting activities at a project site.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site and project accounting activities.
• Maintain ledgers, vouchers, journal entries, and other accounting records.
• Handle vendor bills, invoices, payments, and expense booking.
• Perform bank and ledger reconciliations.
• Manage GST, TDS, and other applicable statutory accounting requirements.
• Maintain project-wise expenses and financial records.
• Coordinate with project and site teams for bills, expenses, and supporting documents.
• Prepare project-wise MIS reports and financial statements.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable.
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial documents.
• Support monthly closing and financial reporting activities.
• Maintain proper documentation and records for audit and compliance purposes.

Candidate Requirements

• 5–7 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Previous experience in Transmission Line, Substation, or Power Projects is required.
• Strong experience in Site Accounting / Project Accounting.
• Good knowledge of GST, TDS, billing, and reconciliation.
• Experience independently handling accounting activities at a project/site location.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software/ERP.
• Good communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to work at Lawspet, Puducherry.
