Position: Accountant
Location: Mugappair West, Chennai (On-site)
Experience Required: Minimum 5 years
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations including ledger maintenance, bank reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing
- Handle import documentation accounting, Letter of Credit (LC) entries, and foreign currency transactions
- Prepare financial statements, GST returns (including IGST on imports), TDS filings, and customs duty compliance
- Manage accounts payable/receivable, vendor payments (domestic & international), and customer billing
- Coordinate with banks for forex transactions, remittances, and trade finance documentation
- Reconcile inventory records with physical stock and manage warehouse accounting
- Coordinate with auditors for internal and statutory audits
- Ensure compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), FEMA regulations, and company policies
Requirements
- Education: B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / CMA (Inter or Final)
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in accounting/finance roles, preferably in import/trading/stockist business
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Tally ERP 9/Prime, MS Excel (advanced), GST portal, and income tax filings
- Soft Skills: Attention to detail, analytical thinking, integrity, and ability to work independently
