Role Description: Accountant
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accountant to manage and oversee the company's financial operations with accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, and supporting informed business decision-making through precise financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain daily billing records on a vendor-wise basis, ensuring accurate tracking of all transactions and timely reconciliation.
Prepare and analyze monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, highlighting key financial insights and variances.
Handle and maintain all financial data in Excel, ensuring proper documentation, structuring, and reporting of financial information.
Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
Maintain general ledger entries and ensure accurate bookkeeping practices.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, taxation policies, and internal financial controls.
Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights and support operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Accounting principles, Financial Reporting, and Bookkeeping
- Proficiency in Taxation, including GST, Income Tax, and other regulatory compliance requirements
- Experience with Financial Software and Tools (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or equivalent)
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in Budgeting and Financial Analysis
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; professional certifications like CA, CPA, or CMA are a plus
- Prior experience of 2-4 years in an accounting role is preferred
