About the role

The Accountant will maintain the books of accounts of the family office of Mr. Bhavin Turakhia and his wealth management companies. Incumbent will be responsible for accounting & banking across Mr. Bhavin's wealth management companies. Key outcomes of the role include maintaining books of accounts, preparing MIS reports, complying with tax & regulations, liaising with third parties for audit & regulatory filings and bank transactions execution in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

1) Accounting & Financial reporting:

• Making tally entries and filing necessary documentation & supporting for the books of accounts
• Finalizing books of accounts on monthly basis and generating MIS for relevant KPIs (Variance reports, P&L Cost centre statements) as needed
• Liaising with Auditors for data requirements and other certification requirements

2) Tax filings & returns

• Preparing monthly/quarterly/annual returns for GST, TDS and ensuring transactions are in compliance with GST and Income tax regulations
• Providing data for statutory authorities and supporting documents in consultation with Seniors for GST/Income tax audits

3) Banking & Compliance

• Making Bank transfers/Vendor payments following the Standard Operating Processes and communicating with Banks for relevant documentation necessary for their compliances
• Ensuring Bank charges and maintenance charges are as per agreed contracts and reconciling them
• Generating Treasury reports from accounting software and providing reasons for deviation from budgets
• Ensuring appropriate board resolutions in consultation with Seniors and filing them along with bank transaction supporting documents

4) Ad-hoc projects support for other family office activities

Skills

• Proficiency in Tally accounting software
• Microsoft office and Excel proficiency to build Dashboards
• Working knowledge of Income tax, GST website portals and understanding of TDS, GST regulations
• Understanding of Accounting standards and Financial Statements preparation

Experience & Qualifications

• CA Inter + M Com with 3 years of relevant experience
• Bcom+ MBA Finance/ master's in accounting with 3 years of relevant experience
