Accountant (Modern Trade/ Manufacturing / Commodity)

Job Summary

The Company is looking for a practical, detail-oriented Accountant to manage daily accounting activities, statutory compliance (GST, TDS), and inventory-related entries. The role requires hands-on experience in Tally / Zoho Books / ERP systems and basic exposure to manufacturing or trading accounts.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day accounting entries in ERP / Tally
• Handle Accounts Payable (vendor payments) and Accounts Receivable (customer collections)
• Prepare and file GST and TDS returns
• Perform bank reconciliation
• Support monthly closing activities
• Maintain purchase, sales, and inventory-related entries
• Track vendor outstanding and payment schedules
• Assist in preparing P&L and Balance Sheet
• Coordinate with CA and auditors for compliance and documentation
• Maintain proper accounting records as per company policies

Required Skills & Qualifications

• B.Com or equivalent qualification
• 2-4 years of accounting experience (preferably in manufacturing / trading setup)
• Working knowledge of GST, TDS compliance
• Hands-on experience in Tally / Zoho Books / ERP
• Basic to good Excel knowledge
• Strong attention to detail and responsibility toward deadlines

Preferred (Good to Have)

• Experience handling inventory accounting
• Exposure to purchase accounting in manufacturing/trading
• Experience working with oil / FMCG / commodity businesses
